Overview:
Responsible for driving continuous improvement across the enterprise in all areas of distribution including automated and manual warehousing and transportation.
This includes all process or business changes to reduce operating costs.
Project tracking and project audits are further requirements of this responsibility.
Coordinates with Director of LP and Food Safety and Director of Facilities Engineering to ensure compliance with FSMA and all Federal and State regulations plus SQF certification
Responsibilities:
Accountabilities:
o Assist in providing leadership to develop, evaluate and implement IE projects to enhance the performance and effectiveness of MDI.
o Identifies solutions for distribution applications and assures appropriate use of industry specific technologies to maximize performance in lowering production costs, optimizing throughput quality of service and KPI measures to meet corporate and customer requirements.
o Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance of maintenance, production, clerical and other worker operations to establish standard production rate and to improve efficiency.
o Observes workers operating equipment of performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate, using sanctioned equipment and standards.
o Recommends revision of methods of operation or material handling alterations in equipment layout, or other changes to increase production, training, ergonomics, or improve standards.
o Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling and machine utilization.
o Aids in planning work assignment in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules and anticipated delays.
o Works closely and communicates clearly and effectively with all distribution management to evaluate, plan and ensure the implementation of Best Practice logistics and efficient and effective systems in warehouse and transportation operations in order to improve customer service and lower operating costs.
o Analyzes and reports the key QOS measures as well as KPIs and other operational metrics to ensure corporate goals are met or exceeded.
o Works closely with Automation team to develop processes and procedures connecting both manual and automated warehouse operations.
Creates all SOPs and training guides for future use and continuous improvement opportunities.
o Coordinates with Directors of LP/Food Safety and Facilities Engineering to ensure compliance with FSMA and all Federal and State regulations plus SQF certification requirements.
o Ensures that all SOPs follow all employee training, safety, and security programs, policies and practices.

o Knowledge generally associated with a bachelors in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chaino 4 years or less of related experienceo Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
o Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
o Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation of techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
o Must be able to build customer and employee centric relationships and work in a team environment.
Must have knowledge of FSMA, food safety and security, HCAAP and OSHA.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
